Raz is a mage assassin who can utilize his short cooldown to wear out the enemies once the enemy is low on health. Raz can use his ability combo to nuke the opponent down with his powerful controls and explosive damage.
Notice that Raz can move for a distance every time he casts an ability there for his extraordinary mobility makes him shine both in chasing and escaping enemies.
Passive – Fancy Footwork
Raz’s footwork moves him closer to his enemies on the second and third consecutive normal attack. The third normal attack deals extra magic damage, knocks back, and stuns enemies.
Notice that the passive does not enable Raz to move over walls in order to utilize the passive and its control effects try using normal attacks between abilities.
Ability 1 – Rising Uppercut
Raz unleashes a powerful uppercut that deals magic damage to enemies within range and knocks enemies into the air and restores 25 energy if the ability hits an enemy. Remember that the actual ability range is wider than shown by the indicator. Rhe ability also allows Raz to hop over walls.
Ability 2 – Power Surge
Raz launches a projectile from his fists that deals magic damage to enemies in its path briefly reducing their magic defense and movement speed. Restores 25 energy if the ability hits an enemy. Although power surge has a short cooldown it is crucial to hit the ability or else Raz may find himself out of energy to cast other abilities.
Ultimate – Explosive K.O
Raz throws an extremely powerful punch dealing magic damage to enemies in its path, knocking them back, and reducing their attack damage for 2.5 seconds. Restores 25 energy if the ability hits an enemy. The ability range of Explosive K.O is even wider than rising uppercut, therefore, Raz can initiate with explosive ko to hit an enemy or use it for escape.
Raz is a mage who relies on energy, therefore, a high hit rate is crucial in order to constantly cast power surge to harass the opponents. On the contrary, missing abilities can leave Raz with low energy and lose his strength.
Raz can also control the enemy using his ability combo. The common combo is to initiate with power surge then use explosive k.o followed by rising uppercut. This ability combo can constantly control the enemy while dealing tremendous damage as a mage assassin.
Raz should farm in the early game while looking for opportunities to help out the other lanes since Raz can move over a distance every time he uses an ability he can arrive before battles begin and outnumber the enemies in the mid and late game. Power surge has a rather short cooldown, therefore, Raz can harass the enemies before team fights.
Since power surge can slow down the enemies and reduce their magic defense it can be used to wear down the enemies easily. Remember that Raz is a squishy mage after all and can easily be pinned down and killed by the enemies so try to wait for allies to absorb some controls and damage before engaging in battles. This way his ability combo has a much higher hit rate and lower chance to be interrupted.
Raz was an important figure in Thane’s eternal struggle against the corrupted. The magnificent king embedded Raz deep in the darkness to be his eyes and ears.
Raz possessed superhuman speed and agility, most importantly his blinding fists struck fast and true. In his long mission, Raz won the trust of Preyta. Earning his favor, Raz was made head of a small strike team in PReya’s army. Using his authority and guile, Raz was always able to stay two steps ahead of the Corrupted, leveraging sabotage and subterfuge to impede the dark army.
However, Preyta was no fool. The Plague Masters could smell a rat. He lay careful machinations to catch the traitor in his midst, even Raz was blissfully unaware until it was too late. While pursuing a false lead, he fell into Preya’s trap. He was immediately surrounded by an ocean of corrupted souls.
Uttering foul curses, Preyta and his ilk closed in around Raz. He could sense that the end was near, but he could not just lay down and accept this kind of fate. Using his last bit of strength Raz lashed out with a fury never before seen in Athanor. His fists were on fire, lighting up his foes and his rage until finally, he broke through. However, his hands were badly broken and his spirit greatly wounded.
Raz limped his way back into Thane’s court where he collapsed onto the ground. To save his friend, Thane rushed Raz to the citadel and beseeched the angel Lauriel for aid. But in order to receive the Light’s blessing, Raz would have to undergo a grueling trial, and if he failed, he would die.
But luckily, he did not. Not only did Raz triumph and heal himself, he was stronger than he was even before. His gauntlets glowed a crimson light that grew steadily stronger as his resolve to vanquish the Corrupted grew even more steeled. His fists would tear anything down that stood in the way of his righteous fury.
