Taara Guide

Taara

Tara excels at being exceptionally tanky while still able to deal a considerable amount of damage.

Abilities

Passive – Fighting Spirit

Every 1% of Terra’s health point loss grants her 24 attack damage. Increased further by her level this ability greatly improves Taara’s damage output enabling her to deal massive damage at low health.

Ability 1 – Colossal Smash

Taara eats and smashes the ground upon landing with her hammer dealing physical damage. Colossal smash is a long-range mobility skill that deals considerable AoE damage and applies an incredible 40 percent slow allowing Taara to easily catch her fleeing foes. Colossal Smash can also be used to quickly escape from the enemy’s plan Taara is low.

Ability 2 – Obliterate

Taara spins her hammer dealing two waves of physical damage to all enemies in range. Note that Taara cannot move when she casts obliterate so cast this ability at the appropriate time for maximum damage.

Ultimate – Steel Body

Taara unleashes her inner potential dealing six percent of her maximum HP per second for five seconds while gaining 30 percent movement speed. Steel body greatly improves Taara’s survivability combined with her passive, steel body allows her to continue dealing massive damage even when she’s low on HP making her a killing machine who never has to back until dead.

When chasing her enemies Taara can first cast colossal smash to close the gap and slow her targets then cast Obliterate to deal continuous Damage. finally, use steel bodies increased movement speed to chase and finish the fight Then cast colossal smash and obliterate to catch up and secure the kill during team fights.

Taara can first use colossal smash to close the gap and slow the enemy then [auto] attack while getting behind the enemy. Finally, casting obliterate to finish the kill if the enemy is still alive use steel body to continue bashing while gaining survivability.

Overall, Taara’s combination of being resilient while capable of dealing massive damage makes her a very popular pick.

Lore

“The heavier it is, the more damage it causes.”

Taara’s roots lay deep within the Steel Mountains, where she obtained all of her knowledge and passion for weaponry. She prided herself on her profound understanding of them. Amongst all her crafted weapons, her earth-shatteringly strong hammer reign supreme. Primarily chosen because it was the ideal choice for the weapon forger, it became a lethal extension of herself on the battlefield and consequently unified them.

The lack of resources in the Steel Mountains set poor precedents for living conditions of the mountain-dwellers. Selling forged weapons to the city below was the mountain-dwellers main source of income. The scarcity of the mountains made the people vulnerable to exploitation, breeding discontent, and oppression.

“Why are well allowing ourselves to be subjects of exploitation and oppression?” Through Taara’s empowering words, the dwellers collectively set out to reclaim their freedom and livelihood through, if need be, violent compromise. With her massive hammer slung over her shoulder, Taara led them in formation to drive the garrison army out of the city so that she could claim the throne and prevail gracefully and justly.

“Neither god nor demon can stop the will of steel!”
