Valiant Souls is the 11th Main Box in Duel Links. It introduces a few MASKED Hero’s and Elemental Hero monsters to the game.
As well as some Fabled monsters as well. There are also a lot of good support and counter Spell/Trap cards in this Mini Box.
This list will go over ten of the best cards in the pack. These cards are in no particular order and are judged their effectiveness on their own and in card combos.
This card is a very powerful Vision HERO monster coming in at 2700 ATK points. What makes it so strong is its effect allowing it to be tribute summoned with monsters and Trap Cards.
That makes it very easy to get on the field. Then once it is in the field you can destroy all Spell and Traps your opponent controls.
It’s a great monster for an offense because of how easy it is to summon it.
This is a good card for those running Dragon decks. Especially with a good balance of DARK and LIGHT attribute Dragons.
When this card is sent to the graveyard you can banish 1 level 7 or high DARK or Light Dragon monster. Then when this card is banished from your graveyard you can add the banished DARK or LIGHT Dragon to your deck.
It’s good for getting your powerful Dragons into your hand. It’s great to be used with cards that remove cards from your graveyard with ease.
A simple utility spell card. It allows each player to draw 1 card then both discard one card.
It’s very simple but it can be extremely helpful in certain combos. Giving you that free card draws but letting you set up combos with the free discard as well.
And extremely helpful Fusion support card. This card allows you to Reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck then add 1 of the Fusion Materials listed on that card from your Deck to your hand.
Then you can add 1 Polymerization from your Graveyard to your hand. This is a very good way to get a Fusion material and Poly to your hand in one turn making it that much easier to get a Fusion monster out.
Plasma Vice is a great Elemental HERO fusion card with a high ATK value of 2600. But his effect is a pretty devastating one in terms of field control.
Firstly, this card inflicts piercing damage when it attacks Defense Position monsters. Dealing the difference in ATK and DEF to the opponent’s life points.
His second effect lets you discard 1 card to destroy 1 Attack Position monster on your opponent’s field. He’s a very offense Fusion monster and makes for a great damage dealer and good for field control.
Another great Fusion monster from this Mini box. Anki has a pretty impressive effect that is all the more powerful when paired with Equip spells.
This card can only be summoned with Mask Change. This card can attack your opponent directly but when it does the damage is halved.
When this card destroys an opponent’s monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard you can add 1 “Change” Quick-Play Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
His ability to attack directly at all times is pretty heavy. But throwing on a few equip spells to boost his ATK raises the amount of damage that will be halved when he attacks.
A great support Spell for decks running a large number of DARK monsters. This card is a token spell that summons two “Doomsday Tokens” to the field.
These tokens not only act as a free defense if you need a quick cover when you’re out of monsters. But they can be used as tribute material for DARK Monster.
They make it very easy to get some of the higher level DARK monsters out with minimal effort.
This is a destructive Trap card that can be used as a last resort card or a field clear. When there are 4 or more monsters on the field this card destroys all face-up monsters.
It’s great when you’re outnumbered when your opponent’s field is full and you only have one monster out. It’s an easy counter to reset the field.
But it’s also good for clearing the field entirely. And setting up some combos for monsters that benefit when they get sent from the field to the graveyard.
Another card that highly benefits from Equip spells. Ice Edge is not high in the ATK value but with its effect, it gives a reason for you to up his ATK.
When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent by a direct attack you can target 1 Set card in your opponent’s Spell & Trap Card Zone and destroy it.
Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can discard 1 card then this card can attack your opponent directly that turn. With a few equip spells you can do some serious damage being able to attack directly once per turn while also removing set Spells/Traps to eliminate possible counters.
A good 4-star monster for dealing with lower level monsters. It has an ATK value of 1500 making it a decent offensive monster.
Its effect allows you to discard 1 card to the Graveyard to select and destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with DEF less than or equal to this card’s ATK. It gives a good field control effect and makes it difficult for your opponent to get monsters out to tribute for stronger ones.
